Veterinarian Senior Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Veterinarian Senior to join our team at the University of Washington. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality veterinary care to non-human primates used for breeding and research support at our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical and surgical veterinary care to non-human primates
- Develop and implement plans for preventative medicine
- Participate in animal health maintenance and surveillance
- Collaborate with veterinary, husbandry, pathology, and behavioral management staff
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations and accreditation standards
Requirements:
- Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from a College of Veterinary Medicine accredited by the American Veterinary Association
- License to practice veterinary medicine in Arizona
- Minimum of three years of clinical and surgical experience with laboratory animals, including non-human primates
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in use of computers and software
Desired Qualifications:
- Board certification in Laboratory Animal Medicine (ACLAM)
- Research surgical and imaging experience
- Teaching experience in a classroom setting or with individuals
Working Conditions:
- May be required to work with and take specific precautions against potentially infectious agents
- Must be able to maintain all necessary licensing credentials as determined by State and Federal Law
