Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Python-Oriented Financial Cloud Tech Support Engineer to join our team at MerQube. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in Python programming, cloud technologies, and financial systems. The successful candidate will provide technical support, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure seamless operation of our cloud-based financial solutions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for cloud-based financial applications to clients and internal teams.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Python script, cloud infrastructure, and financial data processing issues.
  • Monitor system performance to maintain high availability and reliability of financial applications.
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve bugs, implement improvements, and optimize system performance.
  • Create and update documentation for support processes, troubleshooting, and user manuals.
  • Assist in deploying and configuring cloud-based financial solutions.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and technologies for continuous enhancement of support services.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 support coverage.
Requirements
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
  • Have over 3 years of technical support experience, preferably in the financial technology sector.
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in Python programming and scripting.
  • Possess experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with financial data and indices, including equities, futures, and options.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and aptitude for troubleshooting complex technical issues.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with financial data APIs and data processing libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of SQL and NoSQL database systems.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
