Graduate Nursing Simulation Support Specialist

The Graduate Nursing Simulation Support Specialist plays a crucial role in collaborating with students, faculty, and simulation personnel during immersive simulation activities and skill enhancement within the Nursing Simulation Center.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Support Simulation Management in the daily operations of overseeing student
engagements in the Simulation Center.
2. Aid Simulation Coordinators in the preparation of Nursing Course simulation
activities and skills practice sessions.
3. Operate simulation equipment, oversee student Filmed Check-Offs (FCOs), and utilize various
technological tools during student simulation activities.
4. Act as Standardized Patients for diverse student Simulation-Based
Experiences.
5. Assist with Nurse Camp as a student leader when required.
6. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
The candidate must be a current, full-time graduate student at Liberty University, maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.0. Availability to work 20 hours per week, including 8 hours on designated weekdays, is essential. Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with students and faculty.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Communication and Understanding
- Ability to articulate information clearly and effectively in both verbal and written forms.
- Proficiency in understanding, speaking, and writing English to convey messages accurately.
- Possess public speaking skills that enable professional representation of Liberty University to various stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and computer skills are essential.
- Capable of reasoning, analyzing information, and applying judgment to resolve routine and complex issues.
- Regularly required to communicate orally and listen effectively.
- Frequent standing, walking, and climbing stairs to navigate the facility.
- Ability to handle materials, reach overhead, kneel, or stoop as necessary.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
The typical working environment for this position is a climate-controlled Simulation Center. The area is well-lit, and the noise level is moderate.
Driving is not a requirement for this role.
All interactions should be conducted in a professional and articulate manner.
