Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Data Center Electrical Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services team in Denver, Colorado. This individual will lead teams and design projects from start to finish, coordinating with clients, project managers, electrical team members, architects, other engineering disciplines, contractors, marketing members, and all other team members.

Responsibilities
  • Develop feasibility reports, construction documents, specifications, engineering calculations, and perform RFI responses, shop drawing reviews, site investigation and overall construction administration.
  • Mentor and manage junior staff, helping them grow and develop their skills.
  • Establish client relations and participate in marketing, design, and production meetings regarding electrical systems.
  • Assume the electrical lead on data center/mission critical projects, working with clients to understand their project-specific requirements.
  • Provide detailed design and coordination with multidisciplinary team members, attending and leading design meetings.
  • Perform QA/QC review of construction documents, specifications, and technical reports, and participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
  • Minimum of 10 years of consulting engineering experience in the design of high reliability electrical systems.
  • PE registration.
  • Extensive knowledge of building electrical power, lighting and signal design, including life safety systems and building management systems.
  • Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, and electrical design software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous Data Center/Mission Critical experience in an architectural/engineering, or engineering consulting firm.
  • Extensive knowledge of the NEC, uninterruptible power systems, power distribution, generator support systems, grounding systems, and one-line creation.
  • Working knowledge of the Uptime Topology standards.
  • Working knowledge of Bluebeam Revu, SKM Power Tools, CYMCAP, and Microsoft Office.
