We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Veterinarian to join our team at CareVet Health in Colorado Springs, CO. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to our patients and delivering exceptional customer service to our clients.
Responsibilities- Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problems, and develop treatment plans to address their medical needs.
- Treat and dress wounds and perform surgical procedures as needed.
- Test for and vaccinate against diseases and operate medical equipment, such as x-ray machines, to diagnose and treat medical conditions.
- Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments, and provide education on animal health and wellness.
- Prescribe medication and work closely with our team to provide high-quality care to our patients.
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree is required.
- Licensure in the state of Colorado is required.
- Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners, and outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks.
- Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal, and strong fondness and understanding of animals.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, and knowledge of animal behavior.
- Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research, and surgery of animals.
