Key Responsibilities- Environmental Services: Replenish restroom supplies, maintain records, and ensure a clean and organized environment throughout the hospital.
- Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean floors in-patient and non-patient areas, remove trash and waste, and maintain facility and furnishings in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Supply Management: Maintain up-to-date records on supplies and ensure that all necessary materials are available.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and represent the facility in a positive manner.
- Teamwork: Participate in activities that enhance professional growth and development, and work collaboratively with other team members.
- Education: High School degree or equivalent preferred.
- Certifications: Current NCI equivalent as approved by the Chief Nursing Officer (or obtained within the first 30 days of hire).
- Experience: Hospital experience preferred.
- Skills: Elementary reading, writing, and math skills, basic English usage, and knowledge of and skills in applying basic cleaning and housekeeping procedures and methods.
- Communication: Communicate effectively in person or via telephone in a manner that can be understood by those with whom the person is speaking.
- Instruction Following: Give and follow verbal and written instructions with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Mental Functions: Perform complex mental functions and basic arithmetic functions.
- Vision: See details of objects at close range.
- Coordination: Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Physical Abilities: Reach forward, up, down, and to the side, sit or stand for minimum periods of one hour at a time, and come and go from the work area repeatedly throughout the day.
