We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Patient Transporter to join our team at South Shore Health. As a Patient Transporter, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of patients throughout our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Transport patients in a safe and timely manner, adhering to our strict protocols and procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and staff, maintaining a professional and courteous attitude at all times.
- Transport lab specimens, blood and blood products, pharmacy and STAT medications, and other essential items as needed.
- Respond to emergency situations, such as code calls, and bring necessary equipment to designated areas.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
- Maintain accurate records and logs of patient transportation and dispatch services.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Previous hospital experience preferred.
- Ability to move or lift patients and equipment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA).
