Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts screenings, assessments, and therapeutic interventions for patients.
- Completes patient evaluations within one business day of referral from a physician.
- Utilizes appropriate assessment tools and procedures for comprehensive evaluations.
- Reviews patient medical histories, including current diagnoses and relevant precautions.

- Sets measurable objectives and formulates treatment plans aimed at enhancing patient independence and functionality.

- Oversees Clinical Fellows, Speech Interns, and Rehabilitation Technicians in patient care activities, adhering to state regulations.

- Communicates evaluation results and treatment plans effectively to patients, families, and healthcare team members.

- Collaborates with the healthcare team to implement and adjust care plans as per physician directives.

- Conducts periodic patient re-evaluations and modifies treatment strategies as needed.
- Maintains accurate patient records reflecting treatment progress, including evaluations, daily notes, and discharge summaries.
- Engages with supervisors and other healthcare professionals regarding patient status and care plans.
- Participates in patient care meetings and interdisciplinary rehabilitation discussions.
- Involved in ongoing training and professional development.
- Ensures clinical documentation complies with regulatory and professional standards.
- Completes all required documentation in a timely manner to enhance patient care efficiency.
- Records daily treatment activities and labor in accordance with departmental protocols.
- Develops and instructs caregivers on patient-specific maintenance programs.
- Contributes to discharge planning processes.
- Acts as a clinical mentor for Speech-Language Pathology students.
- Adheres to state regulations and national standards relevant to Speech-Language Pathology practice.
- Ensures patient safety is prioritized.
- Travels between facilities as necessary to provide patient care, with variable work shifts required.
- Meets established productivity benchmarks.
- Complies with the Pivot Rehabilitation Services Code of Conduct.

Qualifications:
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship (CF) under the supervision of a certified and licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Current state licensure in the practice area.
  • Proficient in English communication, both verbal and written.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities relevant to job functions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to engage positively with patients, families, and facility staff.
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
  • Capable of fulfilling job responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.
