Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conducts screenings, evaluations, and treatment for patients.
  2. Completes patient evaluations within one business day of referral.
  3. Utilizes appropriate assessment tools and procedures for comprehensive evaluations.
  4. Reviews patient medical histories, current diagnoses, and any relevant precautions.
  5. Sets measurable objectives and formulates treatment plans to enhance patient independence and functionality.
  6. Oversees Clinical Fellows, Speech Interns, and Rehabilitation Technicians in patient care activities as per state regulations.
  7. Communicates evaluation results and treatment plans to patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  8. Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams to support patient care plans, adjusting treatments as necessary.
  9. Maintains accurate patient records, including evaluations, treatment logs, and discharge summaries.
  10. Engages with supervisors and team members regarding patient progress and care strategies.
  11. Participates in patient care meetings and rehabilitation coordination sessions.
  12. Involves in training programs for professional development.
  13. Documents clinical activities in compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
  14. Ensures timely completion of all documentation to facilitate optimal patient care.
  15. Records daily treatment activities in accordance with departmental protocols.
  16. Instructs caregivers on patient-specific maintenance programs.
  17. Contributes to discharge planning processes.
  18. Acts as a mentor for students from accredited Speech-Language Pathology programs.
  19. Adheres to state regulations and national standards in Speech-Language Pathology practice.
  20. Ensures patient safety at all times.
  21. Travels as needed between facilities for patient treatment, with variable shifts required.
  22. Meets established productivity benchmarks.
  23. Follows the organization's Code of Conduct.
Qualifications Required:

  1. Certification of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  2. Completion of Clinical Fellowship (CF) under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
  3. Current state licensure in the practice area.
  4. Proficient in English communication, both verbal and written.
  5. Demonstrated problem-solving abilities relevant to the role.
  6. Strong interpersonal skills to engage positively with patients, families, and staff.
  7. Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
  8. Capability to fulfill job responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.
