As a key member of our hotel management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the sales of our hotel, banquet, and restaurant services, as well as supervising a team of sales department employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Revenue Generation: Participate in the preparation of the annual hotel budget and oversee the development and implementation of marketing plans and action plans to drive revenue growth.
  • Market Intelligence: Track the activities of our competitors and the market, and communicate significant changes to the General Manager and Director of Operations.
  • Industry Engagement: Participate in industry and civic organizations to promote business opportunities and build relationships with potential clients.
  • Team Leadership: Lead hotel sales department meetings and make solicitation and service calls to promote and sell hotel, banquet, and restaurant facility space and services.
  • Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries, prepare proposals and confirmations for group bookings, and conduct tours of the property with prospective customers.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain and use the accounts tracing system/database, customer account files, and ensure proper use of all KHC computer systems. Follow company credit and deposit policies when booking business.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in hotel sales and marketing, with a proven track record of revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team of sales employees.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience in sales and marketing software preferred.

Working Conditions:

This role requires frequent travel to local and regional meetings, as well as occasional overnight stays at our hotel. The physical demands of this job include standing, walking, and using hands to handle objects. The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull objects of similar weight.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role involves direct supervision of 1-4 employees in the Sales Department. The successful candidate will have experience in interviewing, hiring, and training employees, as well as planning, assigning, and directing work, monitoring and appraising work performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience in hotel sales and marketing, with a proven track record of revenue growth.
