CADD Technician

Position Summary

• Synectics Inc is actively looking for skilled CADD Technicians/BIM Specialists. This role involves contributing to a variety of engineering projects across sectors such as education, public service, healthcare, technology, and critical infrastructure.
• Collaborate with the design team to produce detailed drawings based on sketches and verbal instructions.
• Conduct thorough self-reviews to ensure precision in all work.
• Generate both PDF and printed versions of drawings for evaluation or as needed.
• Uphold established drafting standards and protocols.
• Assist the CAD Manager and the broader CAD team in various tasks.

Essential Qualifications:

• 1-5 years of relevant experience in the field.
• Background in drafting for commercial and industrial structures is preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, with a strong understanding of model/paper space, xrefs, layer management, line weights, file imports, block creation, PDF exports, plotting, and all other necessary elements for producing construction documents.
• Familiarity with Revit, including the ability to work with templates effectively.
• Capable of accurately translating markups into AutoCAD and Revit formats.
