Senior Psychiatric Technician

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Psychiatric Technician to join our team at Patton State Hospital. As a Senior Psychiatric Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a high-paced environment, prioritizing assignments, and multitasking efficiently. They will also be required to have excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and knowledge of the hospital's staffing policy and basic computer skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage data entry into ASSIST, manage staffing of each program, collaborate with hospital resources, and provide training to end users.
• Troubleshoot any problems in ASSIST and verify overtime worked.
• Responsible for supervising staff working under them, delegating duties, and providing on-the-job training as needed.

Working Conditions:

Patton is a forensic psychiatric hospital established in 1890 and opened in 1893. DSH-Patton provides treatment to forensically and civilly committed patients within a secure treatment area.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $6,445.00 - $7,505.00 per month, depending on experience. As an employee of the State of California, you will be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.

Requirements:

• A valid Psychiatric Technician License.
• Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening.
• Medical clearance prior to being hired.
