Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Therapist - Patient Care Specialist to join our team. As a member of our clinical staff, you will play a critical role in providing direct patient care and support services to patients with mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to patients, focusing on behavioral management, coping skills, and life skills training.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address each patient's unique needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and coordinate with community-based resources for ongoing support.
  • Monitor patient progress, reporting any changes or concerns to the treatment team and making adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to program development and evaluation.

Requirements

  • Certification as a Psychiatric Technician (PT) in the State of California.
  • At least two years of experience working in mental health settings, preferably in forensic psychiatric hospitals.
  • Demonstrated expertise in behavioral interventions, crisis management, and de-escalation techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Basic knowledge of psychology, human behavior, and social sciences.
