We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to join our team at the University of Michigan. As a key member of our pharmacy services department, you will play a critical role in providing direct patient care and assisting in the development and implementation of new pharmacy services related to pain management and palliative care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including medication selection, dose titration, and medication history and reconciliation.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new pharmacy services, including pain management and palliative care protocols.
- Interact with primary teams and pain subspecialties to coordinate a team-based approach to care.
- Lead regulatory and quality assessment/improvement initiatives.
- Participate in education and training programs for patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Completion of two years of pharmacy residency or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Board of Pharmacy Specialties certification preferred.
- Current licensure as a registered pharmacist by the Michigan State Board of Pharmacy.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to perform manual dexterity movements.
