FEAM is seeking an experienced Aircraft Quality Control Inspector to join our team in Miami, FL. As a key member of our quality control team, you will be responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of aircraft maintenance work and maintaining high standards of aeronautical workmanship and inspection standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform inspection functions for aircraft, including power plant, materials parts, and sub-assemblies.
- Review aircraft and engine logbooks and list all pilot reports and deferred maintenance items on work cards.
- Perform required inspection functions during checks, including airframe and engine inspections.
- Inspectors must be thoroughly familiar with inspection methods, techniques, and equipment used in their area of responsibility.
- Responsible for identifying, controlling, segregating, and maintaining all stock and tools.
- Monitor aircraft inspection records and forms to ensure proper completion of all entries.
- Inspectors will find and record discrepancies requiring corrective action.
- Identify required Inspection Items (RII) as defined by the customer's General Maintenance Manual (GMM) or Operation Procedures Manual.
- Inspectors will check work performed by technicians to ensure conformity to acceptable technical and workmanship standards.
- Knowledge/experience of 14 CFR Part 145 & 121 operations and environment.
- FAA A&P certificate required.
- Three to five years' experience in aerospace industry quality-related roles.
- Must be willing to work irregular schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays when required.
- Must be able to travel to other line stations within the system to perform duties as required.
- Experience with Quality Control, inspection techniques, document control, corrective and preventative actions, continuous improvement, risk management, and supplier reviews.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to set and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constantly shifting priorities.
- Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Possess a high degree of proficiency with MS Office products.
- Ability to work under adverse conditions in a production/aircraft maintenance environment.
- ASQ, ISO, or similar certificate preferred.
- Aviation Management, Safety, or related field; preferred.
- College or University 2/4-year degree preferred.
