The Wright Curriculum seamlessly blends basic and clinical sciences across disciplines like anatomy, biochemistry, biostatistics, genetics, histology, immunology, microbiology, pathology, pharmacology, and physiology. This dynamic approach demands a diverse faculty with expertise spanning these areas.

Your Role:

  • Develop and deliver engaging curricular content to undergraduate medical students throughout the first two years of their education.
  • Effectively contextualize visceral organ system pathophysiology within a clinical setting, bridging theory and practice for our students.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or equivalent.
  • Proven track record and substantial experience in clinical medical education.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this collaborative environment.
  • Successful candidate must possess an active Ohio Medical License or the ability to obtain one promptly.

Assistant Professor Level:

Candidates at this level must meet all the above requirements.

Associate Professor Level:

In addition to meeting all Assistant Professor requirements, candidates must demonstrate:

  • At least five years of experience as an Assistant Professor.
  • An exemplary scholarly portfolio showcasing research and publications.
  • Proven supervisory experience mentoring and guiding junior faculty or students.
  • Fulfillment of all Associate Professor Promotion requirements.

Full Professor Level:

Candidates at this level must fulfill all the requirements of an Associate Professor, along with:

  • At least five years of experience at the Associate Professor rank.
  • A distinguished scholarly portfolio demonstrating ongoing research contributions and leadership in the field.
  • Proven experience in academic leadership roles, such as department chair or program director.
  • Fulfillment of all Professor Promotion requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience teaching undergraduate medical students is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with active learning modalities like Team-Based Learning, Peer Instruction, and problem-based learning enhances the educational experience.
  • Experience with Standardized Patient Encounters and Objective Structured Clinical Exams (OSCE) strengthens clinical skills assessment.
  • A record of academic accomplishments in foundational biomedical sciences is beneficial.
