Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team at O'Connor Distributing. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of orders, inventory management, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Order Fulfillment: Build orders for dock routes per invoice in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Inventory Management: Load route trucks safely with proper palletization, perform daily inspection of assigned warehouse equipment, and report any deficiencies.
  • Warehouse Safety: Safely and properly handle shipments and replenishment of product, move product by safely and responsibly operating material handling equipment, and perform cleaning and maintenance duties.
  • Communication: Communicate with team leader regarding quality or operations issues that need attention, process, pack, and ship orders accurately, and maintain inventory of products.
  • Quality Control: Inspect products for damages and report as needed, maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment, receive and appropriately sort and store incoming products, and prepare products for shipping.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or its equivalent, preferred.
  • Experience: Previous warehouse experience and/or training, preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to understand and follow verbal and written English instructions, demonstrate good communication skills, problem-solving skills, and sound judgment, and work with a safety-first attitude.
  • Physical Demands: Carrying and lifting of up to 65 pounds to perform various duties as assigned for extended periods, standing for extended periods of time to perform various duties, walking for extended periods of time to perform various duties, and frequent squatting and/or bending to perform various duties as assigned.
