Water/Wastewater Project Engineer

Garver is seeking a highly skilled Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to join our established Texas Water team in our Dallas-Fort Worth area, Lubbock or Amarillo office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including water conveyance and distribution systems, wastewater conveyance and collection systems, water and wastewater treatment plants, and improvements to existing facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including water conveyance and distribution systems, wastewater conveyance and collection systems, water and wastewater treatment plants, and improvements to existing facilities.
  • Work closely with clients to ensure their expectations of service are exceeded.
  • Collaborate with multi-discipline design engineers and CAD technicians to produce reports, studies, technical memoranda, plans, details, and specifications.
  • Perform design for a variety of projects, including water and wastewater master planning.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil, biological, chemical, mechanical, or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • 2+ years experience related to design of municipal water/wastewater conveyance and/or treatment systems.
  • Registered as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or able to obtain in the next 6 months.
Preferred Skills:
  • Master's degree in civil, biological, chemical, mechanical, or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • Microstation, GIS, WaterCAD, or SewerCAD experience.
  • Strong communications skills.
  • Ability to work independently with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook.
