Job Summary:

Ultra Maritime is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team in the manufacturing of heavy magnetics products. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling and testing complex transformer components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and wire various magnetic components
  • Heavy transformer coil winding (1 KW to 70 KW)
  • Soldering (in-house certification will be required)
  • Reading winding sheets, part lists, and mechanical drawings
  • Mechanical assembly and reworking
  • Working with different types of wire types and installation systems

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, or technical certificate
  • High School diploma or equivalent

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with soldering, reworking and mechanical systems
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Able to read and interpret specification, diagram and/or blueprints
  • Able to perform simple math (addition and subtraction)
  • Good team and people's (interpersonal) skills
  • High motivation and drive
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing techniques of electromechanical products

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting and transport of units up to 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Position requires extensive standing and/or sitting, and good eye-hand coordination
