Position Overview

We are looking for a Security Specialist to contribute to our rapid support of the Space Development Agency (SDA). Recognized as a transformative force in space acquisition within the Department of Defense, SDA is responsible for delivering space-based capabilities to the joint warfighter, facilitating terrestrial missions through the development, deployment, and operation of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture. SDA employs a unique business model that emphasizes speed and cost-effectiveness by leveraging commercial development to create a proliferated architecture and enhance resilience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage personnel processing for SDA
  • Handle incoming and outgoing Visit Access Requests
  • Conduct security indoctrinations
  • Process notifications and debriefings for foreign travel
  • Verify clearances for account requests
  • Prepare and package documents for distribution
  • Maintain and update personnel records across multiple systems
  • Support internal security functions, including Physical Security (PHYSEC), Operational Security (OPSEC), and Industrial Security
  • Conduct preliminary inquiries into security infractions or violations

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree is required (or 4 years of relevant experience)
  • Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is mandatory
  • A minimum of 5 years of related experience is required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, with a willingness to engage actively with colleagues, program leadership, and clients, including delivering presentations
