Job Summary

Snyder Industries Inc. is seeking a skilled Gear Cutter to join our manufacturing team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for running internal and external gears as required, measuring products while running on machines, and holding given tolerance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setup and independently run gear shapers, hobbers, and grinders while following instruction from engineering staff.
  • Follow programs and measure parts with inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, depth gauges.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines.
  • Comply with safety regulations in all aspects of performing job responsibilities.
  • Give close attention to detail.
  • Complete all production and quality logs daily.
Requirements

  • Ability to work independently.
  • Mechanical abilities.
  • Math competencies.
Work Environment

This position operates on the manufacturing floor. Employee will be responsible for looking at all angles of parts in the machine and on pallets. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must lift up to fifty (50) lbs. occasionally.
