Gear Cutter Specialist

Snyder Industries, Inc. is seeking a skilled Gear Cutter to join our manufacturing team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for running internal and external gears, measuring products, and holding given tolerances.

• Setup and operate gear shapers, hobbers, and grinders, following instructions from engineering staff and utilizing programming and work/setup instructions provided by the Programming Department.
• Measure parts using inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges, with experience in machining a plus.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines and comply with safety regulations in all aspects of performing job responsibilities.
• Give close attention to detail and complete all production and quality logs daily.
• Maintain equipment fluid levels and cleanliness, with knowledge of machine basic maintenance and notifying the maintenance department of issues.

• Attentive to detail and organized, with the ability to work independently.
• Mechanical abilities and math competencies.

This position operates on the manufacturing floor, requiring the ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. The employee must lift up to 50 lbs occasionally. Hourly M-F, 2:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., with overtime as needed.
