Dental Assistant Position at Stony Brook University

The Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine is seeking highly skilled and dedicated individuals to fill the role of Dental Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and supporting the educational mission of our institution.
Responsibilities:
- Assist dentists and hygienists with patient care, including preparing patients for treatment and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform a variety of tasks, such as mixing materials, taking X-rays, and sterilizing equipment.
- Work closely with students and faculty to provide a supportive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with inventory control.
- Participate in training and development courses to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- One year of experience in dental assisting or possession of a certificate in dental assisting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bi-lingual in Spanish.
- Previous experience working in a dental clinic or educational setting.
