About the Position

This position supports the implementation of the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), ensuring the development of program procedures to prevent maladaptive behaviors and reinforce adaptive skills in individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and mental health disorders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct functional analyses and assessments to identify problem behaviors and develop effective interventions.
  • Oversee the implementation of Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) and monitor their effectiveness through collaboration with Registered Behavior Technicians.
  • Develop and tailor individualized BSPs to meet the unique needs of consumers, focusing on teaching alternative behaviors and using proactive, antecedent-based interventions.
  • Provide ongoing training and supervision to Registered Behavior Technicians and other staff on behavior analytic strategies, ensuring competency in implementing BSPs and data collection.
  • Maintain accurate, timely records related to assessments, behavior plans, and training, adhering to BACB ethical guidelines and relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree in guidance, counseling, or a related field, with professional experience in a mental health, human service, or social service program.
  • Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification, in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
  • Extensive knowledge of behavior change science and other principles of behavior analysis, with experience working with various individuals diagnosed with intellectual disabilities, autism, and/or mental health disorders.
