Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Peer Recovery Coach to join our team at the Lynn Community Health Center. As a Peer Recovery Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex addictions in their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide education and support to service recipients throughout the recovery process, from engagement to stabilization and relapse prevention.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to facilitate transition from professionally directed services to self-directed recovery maintenance.
  • Promote self-advocacy and empower individuals with complex addictions to have their voices heard and their needs met.
  • Establish and maintain linkages to community resources, including mutual support groups, educational and vocational services, and harm reduction programs.
  • Build relationships with peer recovery coaches, community groups, and agencies to ensure seamless support for individuals in recovery.
  • Identify and address barriers to full participation in community resources and develop strategies to overcome them.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Massachusetts peer specialist certification.
  • Knowledge of recovery-based concepts and principles.
  • Lived experience with complex addictions, either personally or through immediate family.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a strong foundation in personal recovery.
  • Ability to travel to trainings and conferences as needed.
  • History of good attendance and a positive work attitude.
