Peer Recovery Coach

At the Lynn Community Health Center, we are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Peer Recovery Coach to join our team. As a Peer Recovery Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex addiction issues in their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide education and support to service recipients for every phase of the recovery journey, from engagement to stabilization and relapse prevention.
- Facilitate transition from professionally directed service plans to self-directed service plans, promoting self-advocacy and empowerment.
- Identify and maintain linkages to community resources that support individuals' goals and interests, including communities of recovery, educational, vocational, social, cultural, and spiritual resources.
- Develop relationships with peer recovery coaches, community groups, and agencies to ensure seamless support for individuals.
- Identify barriers to full participation in community resources and develop strategies to overcome them.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Massachusetts peer specialist certification.
- Knowledge of recovery-based concepts.
- Lived experience with OUD, either with immediate family or self.
- Good communication and organizational skills, personal resilience, and a solid foundation in personal recovery.
