Job Description

Job Summary

DAK Resources is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Psychiatrist to join our team. As a key member of our mental health services, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric management of patients presenting for mental health care.
  • Diagnose and treat mental illness and mental health conditions requiring intervention.
  • Order appropriate investigations, referrals, pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments, including evidence-based psychotherapies.
  • Supervise residents and maintain accreditation and meet affiliate training program requirements.
  • Participate in the call system for emergency room coverage, consultation liaison, residential, and mental health acute unit coverage.

Requirements:

  • United States Citizenship.
  • Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
  • Residency training in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Preferred Experience: Board Certified in Psychiatry.

Physical Requirements: The position will require walking, standing or sitting for periods of up to or beyond 10 to 12 hours each day. In addition, the incumbent will need to bend, lift and turn.
