Dietitian Specialist

Join our team of healthcare professionals at San Carlos Apache Healthcare Corporation as a Dietitian. As a key member of our medical team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and education.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dietitian to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing medical nutrition therapy to patients, conducting food service quality assurance checks, and delivering in-service education to nursing staff and the community.

• Provide medical nutrition therapy to patients, including assessments, nutrition care planning, counseling, and education.
• Conduct food service quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Deliver in-service education to nursing staff, medical staff, students, and the community on nutrition-related topics.
• Modify patient profiles according to nutritional needs, food intolerances, and preferences.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences to update patient care plans.
• Offer outpatient MNT services for adults and/or family members as referred by a physician.
• Conduct presentations and provide nutrition-related information to the community.
• Prepare reports and documents necessary to maintain accreditation with regulatory agencies.

• Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics from an accredited college or university.
• Completion of a Didactic Program in Dietetics Accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
• Current registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
• Two years of recent experience planning regular and modified diets in a healthcare facility.
• Two years of clinical nutrition work experience focusing on medical nutrition therapy for chronic diseases and nutrition education through the life cycle.
