Job Summary

Carter Lumber is seeking a highly skilled Siding Sales Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for presenting and selling siding products to customers, while also providing expert advice on product features and benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Responsible for maintaining and increasing sales of siding products, including presenting to builders and providing expert advice on product features and benefits.
  • Perform material takeoffs of siding products necessary to perform installation in accordance with building codes, manufacturers requirements and industry standards.
  • Ensure products are ordered and shipped on time.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in siding estimating or siding sales.
  • Working knowledge of roofing and siding installation practices and codes.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Demonstrated ability to increase sales and improve profitability.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience in individual or group training is a plus.
  • Decision making abilities and problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable DMV record.
