Job Title: Controller - 2060 Hub

At B101 5wbqb, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the overall operation of accounting, financial planning, and budget management functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide effective leadership to the Finance Department, directing and coordinating the Company's accounting and financial planning and budget management functions.
  • Provide strategic accounting and financial guidance to business unit leaders and their senior management teams as well as corporate management.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the finance department and traffic departments, including supervision of accounting/traffic personnel to ensure accuracy and upward progression of knowledge/responsibilities and cross-training of duties.
  • Generate daily sales pacing and cost-of-goods-sold (COGS) projections.
  • Complete all month-end close related responsibilities and tasks, including account reconciliations, preparation of monthly financial statements, financial forecasts, analysis of company expenses and revenue to reach company goals.
  • Ensure integrity and accuracy of accounting as well as other key operational financial data, including performing analytical reviews of monthly financials and operational data, monitoring and analyzing revenue and expense variances for company and corporate reporting.
  • Work closely with corporate accounting in preparation of consolidated financial statements.
  • Prepare annual sales, capital, and operating budgets.
  • Work closely with other stakeholders in vetting and implementing new systems and processes for order management, campaign pacing, billing, project management, and digital asset management.
  • Accounts payable approval - coding - processing in DocuPeak/NetSuite.
  • Oversee Account receivable procedures performed by Accounting Asst, including daily deposits, posting of payments to A/R system in Marketron, and credit card processing.
  • Maintenance of General Ledger system in NetSuite, including journal preparations, journal entries, journal approval, and posting of journal batches, and month-end closing process.
  • Process and oversee all of payroll duties.
  • Balance sheet account reconciliation, asset account reconciliations, capital expense reconciliations, fixed asset additions, disposals.
  • Cash management - credit approval.
  • Prepare various financial reports and analysis for company president, senior leadership, and corporate leadership.
  • Overall responsibility for annual financial review by outside auditor; assist with year-end audit process and all associated requests and questions from auditors in a complete and timely manner.
  • Administrator - Marketron, Concur, ARC, LeaseQuery, and other financial platforms as needed.
  • Review and maintain all contracts and provide assistance to negotiate contract terms as needed.
  • Local Tax Filings - CAT Tax, Sales & Use Tax, OBWC.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Finance or Accounting, and CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a senior level finance or accounting position, preferred.
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
  • Working knowledge of short and long-term budgeting and forecasting.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, manage projects from start to finish while meeting deadlines; strong leadership and decision-making abilities; solid project orientation and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience productively working across departments and providing information and resources to fit their needs.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience in advertising agency and/or media industry is preferred.
  • Project an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to work in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to function in a team environment.
  • Ability to work established schedule and other hours as needed.
