Job Summary

CHS Inc. is a leading global agribusiness seeking a Seasonal Operations Specialist to join their team at their Worthing, SD location. This is a seasonal position available from September to November, offering full-time and part-time hours, Monday through Sunday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general labor duties efficiently and effectively, including tasks such as sampling, loosening large nuts, and attaching/detaching flexible hoses.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of commodities handled at the location, adhering to company policies and government regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service, working with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks, including lubrication of pumps, valves, and loading arms, and inspecting equipment for seeps and leaks.
  • Monitor and maintain the quality of inventory, including blended, bulk, or packaged products.
  • Ensure all work areas are clean, orderly, and safe, completing regular housekeeping duties and record-keeping.
  • Perform grounds maintenance, including snow removal, and promptly report any customer complaints, repair or maintenance needs, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
  • Maintain a strong safety culture, following all safety policies, procedures, and regulations, and identifying and communicating workplace hazards.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of operations and/or business operations.
  • Meet minimum age requirement.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to operate machinery such as loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile.
  • Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons to meet business demands.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Agriculture experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds.
  • Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs, and bins.
  • Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures.
