Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) team at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. As a critical care specialist, you will provide direct patient care to patients with complex medical conditions, including cardiac, vascular, and procedural patients. Your expertise will be essential in creating and implementing individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a critical care step-down level, including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to coordinate patient discharge planning needs.
- Instruct and educate patients and family members on their care and treatment plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Registered Nurse (RN) License in NH or valid Compact State License.
- BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross).
- Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia course within 3 months from hire.
- PCCN, TNCC, and TCAR certifications preferred.
