We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Care Counselor to join our team at Constructive Partnerships Unlimited. As a Direct Care Counselor, you will provide care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities who reside in our residential program.
Key Responsibilities- Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including toileting, bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Participate in in-house recreational activities and accompany individuals to community-based activities.
- Implement individualized program plans and maintain records and charts as needed.
- Administer medications and topicals according to doctors' orders and under the direction of a nurse.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
- Must be able to understand and communicate in English.
- Must be able to float to different sites according to established agency policy.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
The Direct Care Counselor will work in a residential setting, providing care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will be able to lift and transfer individuals, as well as perform other physical demands of the job.
