Service Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team and contribute to the success of our customers. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and overhauling equipment, providing preventative maintenance, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and overhaul equipment, including compressors, water pumps, air handlers, electrical and mechanical control devices
  • Provide general repair work on refrigeration, heating and ventilation equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities, diagnosing equipment malfunctions and operating deficiencies
  • Test malfunctioning systems and components using electrical and/or mechanical skills
  • Maintain accurate records of work history
  • Process job tickets and work orders in a timely manner
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned by management
Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED
  • EPA certification
  • Certification from an accredited vocational-technical or trade school (a plus)
  • Minimum 3-4 years of commercial refrigeration experience
  • Experience working on refrigeration equipment in convenience stores or supermarkets (a strong plus)
  • Familiarity with single systems and rack systems, as well as previous work on display cases and walk-in boxes (very helpful)
  • Good driving record and ability to work independently
  • Emergency on-call availability (a basic requirement)
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. with no assistance and sit/stand for several hours at a time
