Responsibilities will include:

  • Serving as primary conductor to the Cathedral choir
  • Overseeing cantors and developing children's choir programs
  • Assisting in liturgy duties and coordinating other music ministry groups

A successful candidate should possess comprehensive choral direction experience, keyboard/organ-playing skills, and ability to accompany choral literature and congregational singing. Knowledge of grant writing is also beneficial.

Music ministry at the Cathedral Basilica includes congregational singing, sacred polyphony, Gregorian chant, and contemporary Catholic music. The ideal candidate will have experience working with capable volunteers and professional musicians in a parish setting.

Compensation Package: We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, along with benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
