Eliot Community Human Services is a CARF-accredited organization dedicated to providing innovative and high-quality services for adults with developmental disabilities. We are seeking an experienced candidate for the role of Independent Support Companion to join our team in Cambridge.

This dynamic opportunity allows you to provide companionship and support to an independent adult client, living in a rent-free apartment. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining a positive working relationship with the individual and providers, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key responsibilities include providing encouragement and positive companionship, assisting with meal preparation, and ensuring all relevant information is communicated and documented. Additionally, you will have the flexibility to work a different job during the day, while supporting your evening and night hours commitments.

As a valued member of our team, you will receive a stipend fee of $125 per week, plus a range of benefits, including respite breaks and opportunities for growth and development. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment, where individuals from marginalized racial identities can thrive.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1 year of experience working with intellectually disabled or developmental disability adults
  • Intermediate computer software skills and communication skills
  • A valid MA driver's license

We offer a competitive salary, estimated at approximately $13,000 - $15,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This estimate is based on industry standards and location.
