Systems Architect

GovCIO is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team. As a Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining computer systems that meet the needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate the planning, design, and installation of equipment, using knowledge of engineering and programming as well as sophisticated instruments and computers.
- Participate in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts.
- Install all new hardware, systems, and software for networks.
- Design and configure computer hardware, and operating system software, and other applications.
- Generate system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures.
- Monitor system performance and implement performance tuning.
- Review test plans/procedures and ensure they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participate in the testing process to validate requirements.
- Maintain and administer related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.
- Perform disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.
- Protect data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system problems.
- Replace faulty hardware components when required.
- Maintain, configure, and monitor security applications.
- Creating and maintaining technical diagrams, documentation, and other configuration items.
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar field with 7+ years of system engineering experience (or commensurate experience).
