Core Responsibilities
  • Manage the entire parts sales process from initiation to completion
  • Engage with both staff and customers in a courteous and professional manner
  • Effectively communicate regarding the status of customer parts
  • Utilize the parts catalog for accurate identification and discussion of specific components
  • Handle incoming calls, providing pricing information and other relevant details to customers
  • Examine body shop estimates to ensure the accuracy of ordered parts and alignment with pricing
  • Deliver exceptional service to both internal and external clientele
  • Retrieve and fulfill orders from inventory while conducting weekly stock checks for accuracy
  • Alert the parts manager about any out-of-stock items or urgent shop supplies
  • Source out-of-stock parts from external suppliers and place emergency orders when necessary
  • Ensure all internal parts requests are billed appropriately on service repair orders
  • Process payments from retail customers or secure credit authorization as needed
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; prior experience in auto parts sales is preferred
  • Willingness to grow and adapt in a fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and time management abilities
  • Capability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documentation
  • Proficiency in performing calculations related to discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and measurements
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
