ChristianaCare is seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality medical services.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures to assist in the diagnosis of cardiovascular disease.
- Document patient clinical history and technologist impressions of images obtained on exam request forms.
- Assist cardiologists with obtaining images and equipment operation during transesophageal echocardiography.
- Contribute to the clinical training of students and Cardiology Fellows associated with the Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Lab.
- Rotate on-call schedule covering off-hours and weekend rotation.
- Perform pediatric echocardiography, if experienced.
- Demonstrate skills and knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Associate degree from an accredited school of cardiovascular technology.
- Registry-eligible and must sit for registry and become RDCS/RCS within the first year of employment.
- Pass the registry exam from either the ARDMS or RDCS.
- CPR certification.
- IV experience with saline contrast and Definity contrast.
- Experience in Transesophageal echo, stress echo, dobutamine stress echo, and adult echo.
- Full medical, dental, vision, and other insurance benefits.
