We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Guthrie. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will be responsible for operating x-ray equipment, supervising students, and ensuring high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures, including adjusting equipment settings and positioning patients for optimal image quality.
- Accurately label and submit images to radiologists, ensuring compliance with quality assurance protocols.
- Provide exceptional patient care, including informed consent, injection of IV contrast, and maintaining patient modesty and comfort.
- Work collaboratively with other technologists, nurses, and healthcare professionals to maintain high standards in Radiology.
- Supervise and instruct radiology students, evaluating their progress and providing feedback.
- Graduation from an ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology program and ARRT certification within 6 months of employment.
- NYS Radiologic Technologist License or NYS Radiologic Technologist Temporary Permit required for positions in New York State.
- Minimum of six months preferred experience as a registered technologist in a Radiology Department of a general acute-care hospital.
This position requires the ability to lift, push, reach, bend, stoop, and walk to care for patients. You must also be able to perform a stand-pivot transfer with a 105-pound patient.
The pay for this position ranges from $22.53-$35.69 per hour.
