About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced software engineer to join our team at Oracle Health. As a key member of our Customer Operations and Product Support Organization, you will play a critical role in designing and building platforms that empower our business with the data necessary to make informed decisions.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing large-scale data platforms, reporting, and operational tools. You will collaborate with product teams to understand how to reduce operational toil safely and build scalable and efficient infrastructure to support real-time monitoring and analysis of all aspects of business data.

You will also mentor and help grow junior engineers across different product teams and create engineering and operations best practices for our organization. Additionally, you will collaborate with architects across the business to ensure we build the highest quality and most reliable products for our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement large-scale data platforms, reporting, and operational tools
  • Collaborate with product teams to understand how to reduce operational toil safely
  • Build scalable and efficient infrastructure to support real-time monitoring and analysis of all aspects of business data
  • Mentor and help grow junior engineers across different product teams
  • Create engineering and operations best practices for our organization

Requirements
  • BS or MS degree in computer science or equivalent
  • 8-10 years of developing and shipping enterprise-distributed and/or cloud-native systems
  • Strong grasp of system design fundamentals and distributed systems architectural best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to write great code in Java, Python, or similar OO languages
  • Experience with web application development using microservices frameworks such as Helidon, Dropwizard, Spring, etc.
  • Experience with Public Cloud SaaS, PaaS Services and/or related technology experience, Cloud Engineering Infrastructure Development
  • Experience with containers and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Strong desire to make an impact and thrive in collaborative and energetic environments
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts verbally and through design aspects
