The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District is seeking highly motivated and skilled individuals to join our Aquatics Program team. As a Swim Instructor, Lifeguard, or Aquatics Camp Leader, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on our community while developing your skills and expertise in water safety and recreation.
Responsibilities- Teach swimming techniques, strokes, and water safety rules to students with varying abilities
- Plan and deliver swimming lessons that cater to students' needs and progressive development
- Provide lifeguard services, respond to emergencies, and administer CPR/First Aid when necessary
- Assist at the front desk as needed
- Monitor water chemistry and perform opening and closing procedures
- Current certification in lifeguarding and CPR/First Aid
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Free drop-in access to all THPRD recreation facilities for household members
- Opportunities for professional development and career advancement
