**Job Description**

The College of Charleston Department of Mathematics and Statistics invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position. We are seeking candidates with expertise in applied mathematics, particularly in numerical analysis. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, direct student research, and contribute to the department's research activities. A Ph.D. in mathematics or a mathematical science is required by the employment start date. A complete application must include a cover letter, curriculum vita, teaching philosophy, current and projected research agenda, and at least three letters of recommendation. Questions regarding the position can be directed to the search committee chair. This is a nine-month appointment with a competitive salary. The review of applications will begin immediately, and applications will be considered until the position is filled.
