Position Overview:

The Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Technician role at CompuNet Clinical Laboratories requires a dedicated professional with a solid educational foundation in medical laboratory science. Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct laboratory tests with accuracy and efficiency, adhering to established protocols.
  • Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on laboratory equipment and reagents.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to instruments, reagents, test outcomes, or supplies.
  • Document and communicate test results promptly and accurately, utilizing computer systems as needed.
  • Address client inquiries and concerns professionally, in line with departmental standards.
  • Support the training of new staff and students.
  • Comply with corporate integrity and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

Candidates should possess an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science (MLT/MLS/CLS) or a related field. ASCP certification or eligibility is mandatory.


Safety and Physical Requirements:
  • Visual acuity and manual dexterity for data analysis and computer tasks.
  • Capability to lift up to 20 pounds and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity for handling specimens and pipetting.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods and walk short distances.
  • Exposure to biohazardous materials and hazardous chemicals.
  • Adherence to safety, ergonomic, and health protocols.
  • Compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines.
  • Completion of necessary safety training and health assessments.
