About the Role:

The Asset Protection Specialist is a key hourly associate position at Restaurant Depot, responsible for leading the effort to efficiently and effectively oversee asset protection on the front end in a designated branch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough audits and analysis to identify trends and create actionable plans to mitigate risk.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce losses through policy guidance, education, and process improvements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on key issues causing shrink, including improper keying of product, case/unit issues, and quantity key usage.
  • Train and orient new cashiers, managers, and employees in asset protection best practices.
  • Maintain confidentiality in matters involving security and personnel issues.
  • Accurately communicate verbally and in written form to a broad customer base.
  • Audit physical security infrastructure, including access control, cameras, and fire exit doors, to ensure functionality of all alarm systems.
  • Work weekends and/or overnight shifts as necessary.
  • Work in an industrial environment that requires walking up to 5 miles a day and the ability to lift up to 20 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in asset protection or a related field preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
