Key Responsibilities- Conduct clinical research studies, including recruiting and enrolling patients, collecting and analyzing data, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement research protocols, including obtaining Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval and ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, researchers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of research studies.
- Ensure accurate and timely data collection, entry, and analysis, and maintain accurate records of research activities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure informed consent and optimal patient care.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research developments, regulatory requirements, and industry standards to ensure compliance and quality.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current RN license in California.
- 2 years of recent relevant experience in clinical research or a related field.
- Oncology and/or hematology experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Federal and State regulations and International Guidelines related to Good Clinical Practices in clinical research.
- Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Knowledge and competence with regard to nursing theories, concepts, and practices; medical terminology; anatomy; and physiology.
- Working knowledge of the healthcare industry, safety precaution policies, best practices regarding patient care and privacy, and changes in local/state/federal regulations.
- Ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies, procedures, and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- Work independently, as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.
- Identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options.
- Ensure the privacy of each patient's protected health information (PHI).
- Build collaborative relationships with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.
- Full-time position with a regular schedule.
- Occasional weekend work may be required.
