Job Overview

The University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking a research faculty member at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level in the In-Residence track with the potential for tenure. This position is ideal for a highly motivated and accomplished researcher with a strong track record of independent funding and a passion for advancing the field of emergency medicine.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain an active research portfolio that is externally funded, with a focus on clinical medicine or clinical epidemiology.
  • Participate in departmental education, administrative, and mentorship activities commensurate to academic rank.
  • Collaborate with departmental researchers to advance the field of emergency medicine and improve patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of research proposals and grant applications.
  • Engage in scholarly activities, including publishing research findings in peer-reviewed journals and presenting at national and international conferences.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in health, epidemiology, or another related discipline.
  • Valid CA Medical License or eligibility.
  • Board Certification/Eligibility in Emergency Medicine.
  • Experience or ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment.
  • Experience or ability to adhere to policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A track record of independent funding is highly desirable.
  • Research focus in clinical medicine or clinical epidemiology is preferred.
