Position Overview:
The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in guest rooms, ensuring high standards of hygiene and comfort to enhance guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather cleaning supplies and organize the cleaning cart, ensuring all areas are tidy and efficient for room cleaning.
  • Thoroughly clean windows, doors, walls, and fixtures in guest rooms and public areas, including hard-to-reach spots.
  • Restock room amenities, towels, and toiletries to guarantee a pleasant experience for incoming guests.
  • Hand wash all hard floor surfaces to eliminate dirt and maintain cleanliness.
  • Dust and polish furniture and fixtures, ensuring all areas are free from dust and cobwebs.
  • Change bed linens and check for cleanliness of bedding materials.
  • Inspect closets for cleanliness and replenish guest supplies as needed.
  • Vacuum all areas, including moving furniture to ensure thorough cleaning.
  • Check and report any maintenance issues in guest rooms to management for prompt resolution.
  • Maintain security of cleaning supplies and equipment at all times.
  • Exhibit a friendly and courteous demeanor while performing duties.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Education: No formal education required.

Experience: No prior experience necessary.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Basic understanding of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning products.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently throughout the shift.
  • Capability to maneuver cleaning equipment and furniture.
  • Willingness to work with arms raised for extended periods.
  • Ability to navigate through hallways with a fully loaded cleaning cart.
  • Attention to detail in identifying cleanliness in various lighting conditions.

Work Environment:

  • Engage in physically demanding tasks in a climate-controlled setting.
  • Experience varying temperatures in laundry facilities.
