Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher specializing in moderate to severe disabilities. This full-time role involves working within a structured classroom environment, focusing on the unique needs of students with significant challenges.
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of 8-12 students, ensuring personalized attention and support.
- Collaborate with a team of Instructional Assistants and one-on-one aides to create a nurturing educational atmosphere.
- Develop and implement tailored Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to meet each student's specific goals.
- Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Participate in IEP meetings and work closely with the special education department for additional resources and support.
- Foster an inclusive classroom culture that promotes engagement and growth among students.
Qualifications:
- A valid California Special Education Teaching Credential for Moderate to Severe Disabilities is required.
- Previous experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities is preferred.
