At Summit Public Schools, we're committed to providing a rigorous and equitable education that prepares our students for college and for life. As a Special Education Teacher, you'll play a critical role in helping our students develop the knowledge, skills, and habits they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach 90-minute blocks in high school or four 55-minute blocks in middle school, per day of project time, using our research-backed curriculum and assessment system.
  • Build deep relationships and sense of community with your small group of mentees daily, coaching and advocating for them both inside and outside of the classroom.
  • Facilitate Self-Directed Learning time and daily literacy or math interventions, providing student support and monitoring progress.
  • Participate in all-faculty after-school meetings, collaborating with colleagues and engaging in professional development to improve your practice.
